We accept Young Adult and New Adult age ranges, and any level of language or sexual content (except for erotica). Depending on the level of content in your book, we will slot it into one of our two imprints: Winterwood and Avalanche.
- Winterwood is for books with swoon but no spice or language. We consider books in this imprint to have a PG to PG-13 rating.
- Avalanche is for books with language or spice (or both) or heavier/darker topics. We consider books in this imprint to have a PG-13 to R rating
We DO NOT accept horror, erotica, or religious fiction. We also are NOT accepting short stories or novellas at this time.
Below is a list of the genres we accept, as well as submission guidelines.

- Dystopian/Post Apocalyptic
- Modern/Unique Fantasy (fantasy stories that don’t fit the “typical” dragons or sword/sorcery fantasy)
When submitting the first 3 chapters of your manuscript, please be sure that that manuscript is in 12pt Times New Roman font, with paragraphs indented. We prefer single-spaced manuscripts, but double-spaced is fine as well.
While we do not expect submissions to be perfectly polished, we do expect a certain level of pride and dedication to your story. If your submission is filled with typos or punctuation errors, it is not grounds for immediate rejection but it will not look professional on your part. We highly recommend making sure that the manuscript you submit is cleaned up to the best of your ability!

Note: Here at SnowRidge Press, we love a good fantasy, contemporary, or dystopian story. It’s the majority of what we read, write, and publish. Because of that, for the time being we are limiting submissions to books that fall within those genres and are geared toward Young Adult (YA) or New Adult (NA) audiences. PG-13 and R-Rated sexual content is allowed, but Erotica and Horror is not our jam, so submissions in those genres will be rejected.
During the submission process we guarantee your privacy and intellectual property and will maintain that privacy at all times. No personal details, including name, email address, phone number, or any other contact data will be disclosed to any third parties without your permission. We hold no rights to any of your work until a contract is signed, so if we reject your submission your rights remain with you. We delete your manuscript, then delete the deleted file, then burn the laptop (okay not the last one).
